You got me. Certain sites won't work. Why? Because x.minutes.at uses frames to put a timer on top of the website, and some websites don't like that. Sites that don't work include twitter, facebook, google mail and google reader. I know, that sucks. However: a solution! You can just start a timer and open up these websites in a new window or tab. You can see the time left in the title bar of your timer page, and you'll still get the alert.
